Winter mood

Last Friday we had a little Christmas dinner for my friend and her family. They are going on vacation this week, so we wanted to meet them and to wish a pleasant trip before they go.
My friend is one who wears jewelries practically every day. But almost all of them are made of silver and gold. The only bead jewelries she has are earrings (white round beaded beads), which she has bought last year; and a spiral bead rope, which I made for her last year as well.
So I decided to make another present for her, and this time I wanted to try something new for me – a brooch. Of course it should be a winter brooch, something in white and silver colors.
I have chosen a cabochon of mother of pearl shell and freshwater pearls. For decoration of those I took silver color Japanese seed beads and tiny Swarovski crystals.
So here is the brooch.

The backside is covered by a piece of white leather. The brooch measures 6 cm x 4.5 cm. And the photo … yes, I still need to practice.

A big jump to cold color spectrum.

From the bright and warm autumn colors – into the January tinkling air and frosty silver patterns.

Blue agates in silver. Very simple and rather strict.

Autumn … again

This time: a sunny day and blue sky through the golden crowns of trees.

Indian Summer

Bright green, orange and, of course, gold; a little bit of cool lilac and watery transparent. The golden leaves and a dragonfly, lost in time. The last dragonfly of this summer.

Lost

I’ve found it yesterday - the last season of “Lost”. Now I can see it before it’ll be shown on the local TV.

This necklace is a gift for my sister as well.
A rectangular cabochon of dark-blue pietersite, Czech and Japanese seed beads.
I am very pleased with the result: pendant looks very smart. But it wasn’t easy to make a good photo of it. The pendant seems to be not too photogenic :)

There is summertime and our vacation is close, very close – only five days away. Those few last days I’m using to make some presents for my family. Two necklaces with pendants, which I finished last week, will go to my mother in law and my sister.

The necklace is made like a very simple bead chain. Blue, white, turquoise and silver – the colors of sea freshness and summer coolness.

Two-month delay

Golden sunrays are melting blue-gray ice. And although there are still plenty snow around, that’s March – the first month of spring.

Sunny necklace

An Agalala lace necklace.
White and gold beads and morning sun rays.

So, here it is – my first BIG bead embroidery

I’ve named this necklace The Master.
A big powerful bird is flying over the mountains, forests - over land and water.

It’s The Master of Nature and a part of it.

New and big

My new project is finished. It’s a necklace in embroidery technique.
And the necklace is big; bigger, than everything, I’ve made before.
So it’s a little step forward for me.
Now I only need to take photos of my new work, so I can show it here. Until that – two photos of the components: two small parts and the backside of the central part.

A bouquet

Just a spot of bright colors. I’ve got these lovely flowers from our friends at their latest visit to us. My husband made this photo (by his new camera), and now I have it in my blog.

By the way: I’ve change the colors of my blog – now it’s DARK.

A bracelet

This is my first bracelet with a metal blank inside of it.
I have used the same colors of the beads as in the heart-pendant, so they can be worn together.
